Newcourt is a quiet family campsite.   Noise, music and drinking are not permitted after 10pm. People who cannot abide by this are not welcome. The Proprietors reserve the right to refuse admission and to remove people from the site at their discretion if site rules are not complied with. All anti-social behaviour is reported immediately to Dyfed-Powys Police along with full campsite registration details. Our aim is for everyone to enjoy what our campsite offers and to maintain our high standards. Many overnight touring campervans and other units using the campsite are totally self-contained. For Health & Safety and access for emergency vehicles please leave a distance of 10 meters between units.

Due to changes made by the Welsh Government, Newcourt Farm Campsite has a zero waste policy. All rubbish must be taken away by visitors.

Newcourt is a working farm with livestock in fields around the campsite and working machinery in use.

If you book directly through the farm, payment is cash only and due on arrival.

Gates are closed at 10.00pm.

Bank Holidays and Festivals are busy periods for the campsite and it is recommended that if you prefer a quieter break to avoid these times.

In the 1950s Mills Brothers established Newcourt Farm as a Riding Centre, leading pony treks into the Black Mountains, and as a Camping Site for tents, caravans and motorhomes. We have a large camping area to cater for the development and wellbeing of children, Scouts, Girl Guides, Boys Brigade, Schools and other educational groups and for those participating in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
Walkers, cyclists and families are also welcome to enjoy what the Brecon Beacons has to offer.

We are a rural, basic family-run campsite, nestling in the foothills of The Black Mountains region of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Rising 690m behind the campsite and with easy access, is Mount Twmpa.

We have lots of space and so can offer plenty of room between campers.
Charcoal BBQ's are allowed but must be raised off the ground.
For safety reasons. wood burning fires are not allowed.

Newcourt Farm Campsite is ideal for visitors to Wales seeking the basic facilities for their tents and caravans. Many walkers and cyclists use the campsite for a stopover when exploring this area of Wales. Whether you need a weekend away from it all or a week’s holiday, there is plenty to do and many attractions in the area for all the family.

The towns of Talgarth, Hay-on-Wye, Brecon, Crickhowell and Abergavenny are within easy driving distance of the campsite.

Primrose Earth Centre, a thriving organic fruit and vegetable farm, is close by in the village of Felindre. The farm supplies produce to the local community through Hay market every Thursday. The farm also supplies hotels and restaurants. Primrose Earth Centre hosts a large mature forest garden in which can be found almost a hundred varieties of fruit and nut trees. You can buy your fresh fruit and vegetables directly from the farm.

Take a stroll beside the River Wye at Glasbury Common. If it is warm enough you could have a paddle - cross over the bridge from the garage and take the first left. Just by the Scout Hut is a small free car park and a public toilet. Take a walk across fields to the local pub in the village of Felindre.
Dog Walking - there is plenty of space within and around the campsite for dog walking. If we are not too busy, we have areas you can let your dog have a run off the lead.

The nearest bus stop is located at Three Cocks.

Walking

From the campsite, there is easy access to the Black Mountains and miles of open countryside. There is a good selection of footpaths and you can join the long-distance Offa’s Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk. Newcourt Farm Campsite is shown on OS Explorer Map OL13. Grid reference SO196368. You can enjoy organised walks during the Geopark Festival.

Cycling

Two National Cycle Routes cross the Brecon Beacons National Park. The NCN8 Taff Trail runs along the road at the bottom of our lane and joins the NCN42 Lôn Las Cymru on the banks of the River Wye at Glasbury. Take a look at the Sustrans website for more details.

Mountain Biking

There are 14 single track mountain bike routes in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Three of these start at Talgarth (3.3 miles away), and one passes through Felindre village. OS Explorer Maps OL12 and OL13. Grid reference GR154338.

Activities

There are opportunities locally for horse riding, outdoor pursuits on land and water, fishing, golf and gliding. There is a Leisure Centre in Brecon. The abundance of outstanding scenery, waterfalls, wildlife and historical buildings provides endless subjects for artists and photographers.
