For all the family Cantref Adventure Farm has lots to offer. Indoor and outdoor adventures from a soft play area and electric tractors to sledge rides, paddle boats and a nature trail. Cantref is also a riding centre.

The National Showcaves Centre for Wales is a great day out for all ages. There are caves to explore, an Iron Age village, Shire Horse Centre, Dinosaur Park and much more.
Blaenavon Industrial World Heritage Site. Here you can visit the Big Pit and go underground to learn about coal mining. See the Ironworks, the best-preserved 18th-century ironworks in the world. There is a Heritage Railway, a museum and Blaenavon Heritage Town itself.

For rail enthusiasts and those that enjoy steam train travel, there is the Brecon Mountain Railway, one of the most popular railways in Wales. The journey takes you through beautiful scenery into the Brecon Beacons National Park, passing the Taf Fechan Reservoir and on to Dol-y-Gaer. Passengers can alight by the reservoir and go exploring, catching a train later to take you back to the station.
